About Via Local

About Via Local

Via Local creates small-group outdoor experiences for travelers who want to explore beyond the usual stops. Each outing is planned with route fit, timing, and practical details in mind.

Guided nature days from Cúcuta

We organize guided nature walks, regional viewpoint excursions, private scenic routes, and full-day regional highlights for active travelers, nature enthusiasts, couples, and small outdoor groups.

Before booking, we confirm the route, check weather and access conditions, and review the meeting and return plan so the experience is clear from the start.

What we value

The way we work

Our values shape every excursion, from the first request to the final route check. They help us keep the experience practical, local, and easy to follow.

NW

Nature first

We keep every outing rooted in the landscape, with routes designed for walking, viewing, and discovering local places at a steady pace.

PL

Clear planning

We explain meeting points, timing, and route details before the excursion so guests know what to expect and can prepare properly.

AD

Route awareness

Routes are reviewed for fitness, weather, and access before confirmation, and they may be adjusted when conditions require it.

LG

Language check

Guide language is confirmed before booking, subject to availability, so the conversation can match the guest’s needs as closely as possible.

Our story

How Via Local began

Our approach is simple: keep the experience local, flexible, and well organized. We focus on routes that can be explained clearly and adjusted responsibly when conditions change.

Via Local was founded by Mateo Gómez in 2023 to offer guided outdoor experiences shaped around the region’s landscapes, viewpoints, and countryside routes.

We work with small groups on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with departure times that depend on the route. Booking can be requested through the website, by email, or by phone.

After the tour, we can share local recommendations to help guests continue exploring Cúcuta and the surrounding area on their own.
